New

I'm linking up with The Gypsy Mama for "5 min Friday", a challenge in which we write for 5 mins, without editing, on a prompt which she provides. She called this finger-painting your words once … love the picture THAT paints. This week's prompt is ...

NEW

I have a new bible. It’s a New International Version and it is amazing what it does for my bible reading. The language, the words, painting new pictures…

My bibles have always been in Swedish, and the translation of 2000 is the best we’ve had, no complaints… but there is not a lot of “poetry” in the, very proper, no-flair translation.
And I need flow in the words, flow in the reading that speaks to my heart!

Yesterday, I read Ecclesiastes 3:11 early in the morning. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men …” And it stayed with me throughout the day, making altogether new images in my mind.
Here, read it again:

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men …

Worldchanging!

  1. Yes! Life changing is the word made flesh and dwelt among us, eternity in our hearts, the Holy Spirit our guarantee of what is to come.
I dont know Swedish, but am so glad you are newly enjoying the NIV, which my dad helped translate and write study notes for. He is now 80 and lives with us. So you see, I am thrilled. God bless your reading, breathing new life in your heart!

  3. Beautiful Verse. King James is hard to beat for poetry, and the Message for 21st Century realism Be Blessed, may your new bible feed your heart and soul, with its living words. Nics
