Five minute friday - Unexpected

The other day I went to my favorite gift shop for a birthday present.
On the bottom floor I knew the kind I was looking for was stacked on the shelves but, since they always have wonderful things you really don’t need, but love, on the top floor, I went up the stairs.
I know people have been talking about it. I know there have been ads in the papers about all sorts of things and happenings about this… but my brain had not registered. Didn’t feel the need to? Didn’t want to?
On the second floor the first thing I saw was this:

And, although it really shouldn’t, I know, It felt really unexpected… but now oh so unavoidable!
Christmas!

And I'm still, sort of, waiting for the last breath of summer ...

  1. Nice! Christmas should be in our minds but I have to say seeing the first lights in the streets was unexpected for em too, I am still relaxing in the fresh air of Autumn and Christmas seems far away.
    Have a lovely day!

  3. Christmas has snuck up on us hasn't it? It makes me a little wistful for those last full days of summer and I'm not quite ready to abandon the pumpkins and falling leaves for glitter and ornaments (although I do love these things).
